The thesis deals with the use of heat pumps, because of the need for better energy management of all kinds. The focus of this work is also focused on the history of the development of heat pumps, as well as search through all types of pumps, physical principles to the design of optimal heat pump. Information in this work should shed light on the various myths that circulate about heat pumps and bring them to debunk and to assess the suitability of the heat pump and its design
