The purpose of this study is to assess the effects of training on teacher’s work performance in public secondary schools. The study is grounded on three research questions which are, what are the current training practices used in secondary schools, to what extent teacher training relate to teachers’ work performance and the next question is, the challenges faced by secondary schools teachers in implimenting training practices in Bagamoyo district.
