The objective of this evaluation study was to ascertain the effect of a long and repetitive campaign on speeding, offences and attitude of drivers on a network of rural roads with a speed limit of 80 km/h. The aim is general prevention, that is to reduce speeds driven, irrespective of time and place. All campaigns have the same design: publicity, enforcement using a radar car and camera (speeders were not stopped), a feed-back sign downstream the radar car ("Your speed has been checked"), and a survey among drivers.
