In the second part of the literature review on pedestrian safety the effect of measures in the field of urban infrastructure is considered. After an introduction, the following are presented successively: the relation between pedestrian accidents and the urban infrastructures; variables regarding the pedestrian; criteria for measures to be taken for town planning; pedestrian networks; reconstruction of the existing road network in residential areas and some possible measures on micro or macro-level.
