This work is aimed at a preliminary design and implementation of a system solving the inverse problem of reconstruction of relative permittivities of several dielectric layers. Computations are based on real measurements of the transmission and reflection coefficients in free space using higher frequencies (millimetre and sub-millimetre waves). However, presented approach may be applied for reconstruction of other parameters. © 2016 IEEE
