To explore the presence of differential cortical hemodynamic activations related to cognitive components of actions, we performed a fNIRS (functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy) study during Observation (O), Execution (E) and Imagination (I) of complex and meaningful (transitive and intransitive) gestures in ecological setting.
