ANALISIS STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN AGRIBISNIS KELAPA SAWIT PT PERICEBUNAN NUSANTARA VIII (PERSERO)

The purposes of this research are to assess and analyze the oil palm commodity development by PTPN VIII, to identify and analyze internal and external factors of the company that become the determinants to the success of oil palm commodity development, and to establish a palm oil commodity development strategy priority in order to guarantee the continuity of the business. Purposive sampling method is used to collect the data from 13 responders of staffs, directors and CEO. Data are analyzed using EFE and IFE Matrix, then to be mapped using IE Matrix to determine the position of the company, so that a compatible main strategy can be obtained. Formulation of an alternative strategy is achieved by using the SWOT Matrix. Last phase of the research is to use QSPM analysis to acquire the strategy priority. An alternative strategy successfully formulated is as follow. First, to increase product and quality through intensification and intensification; second, to evaluate, improve and increase control of work mechanism and financing to achieve efficiency; third, to guarantee consumer satisfaction by means of service and product quality improvements; and fourth, improvement of human resource quality
