BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE Piperaquine–dihydroartemisinin combination therapy has established efficacy for the treatment of malaria; however, a more comprehensive understanding of the pharmacokinetic properties and factors contributing to inter- and intra-individual variability is critical to optimize clinical use.
