English abstract provided by author: "The Church Street’s regeneration was implemented in the framework of an intervention strategy and guidelines for the construction of pedestrian safety along the route to school in the Florence Oltrarno district (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and developed within the master plan based around a game: the Pedibus, a pedestrian bus, a collective accompaniment by feet, offering a safe and friendly alternative to car transport. This is a sustainable mobility project aimed mainly to enable good practices within the district to reduce the use of private cars and enhancing the accessible displacements aware also for vulnerable people like children, elderly and disabled. The Pedibus master plan proposes a multi-faceted intervention that also is a general plan of recovery, a renewal of public spaces in the historic cities, a participatory process with the citizens and a re-appropriation of the places of sociability, the street.".Elisa Palazzo, Bruno Pelucc
