Canine juvenile polyarteritis syndrome is a rare disease that affects young dogs. Although the disease can be treated effectively with the proper medication, the etiology is still not fully understood. This paper describes a case of a beagle that was chronically affected by this syndrome before receiving appropriate treatment. The clinical signs associated with his primary disease process resolved once appropriate treatment was instituted, but secondary chronic renal failure was too far advanced to be reversed or adequately compensated for by that time
