Doña Ana Community College (DACC) commissioned the University of New Mexico Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER) to analyze the economic impact of its operations and capital projects on the Doña Ana county economy for fiscal year (FY) 2011. DACC, a branch campus of New Mexico State University, offers postsecondary vocational-technical education. Using IMPLAN 3.0 economic modeling software, BBER did an input-output analysis of DACC revenues and expenditures in the county. The study found that DACC'S direct, indirect, and induced impacts include 1,189 jobs; $26.6 million of income; and $76.4 million in economic output during FY11.
