This paper, invited for presentation at the 33rd Meeting of the Spanish Group on Fracture and Structural Integrity, March 2016 in San Sebastian, Spain, reviews the recent work carried out in the authors’ laboratory, addressing the elucidation of tensile and creep characteristics of materials for aero engine components.
