This thesis focuses on the operationalization of corporate social responsibility (CSR) through its appropriation by a French industrial company, the Fleury Michon Group. Through the deployment of the ISO 26000 standard as a management tool, the dynamics of appropriation are questioned in the perspective of four complementary perspectives coming from theories of organizations: instrumental, socio-political, cognitive and symbolic perspectives. This research trend favors the emergence of results that account for the complexity of such a process.
