International audienceMost Iberian writings preceding or contemporaneous with the genesis of the Liber glossarum appear not only in libraries of the southern parts of Gaul, but also in North-Central ones, according to evidences from both preserved manuscripts and Carolingian inventories. The analysis of the manuscript traditions highlights very different ways of transmission, where some presently hidden lines have a significant and unpredictable part, as sometimes can be seen thanks to episodes of indirect tradition.
