Research on organic photovoltaics over a decade allowed a steadily increasing in the efficiency of solar cells. Several research groups have begun a reflection on the synthesis processes to limit wastes. Thus the direct arylation coupling which avoids the use of organometallic compounds, has emerged as an example of green reaction. The first part is devoted to the methodological study of direct arylation of bromotriphenylamine with thiophene-2-carboxaldehyde derivatives substituted in C3 and C4 by electron-withdrawing groups and electron-donor groups.
