International audienceIn this paper, we describe the numerical simulation of high rate hot forging processes, for which inertia effects are noticeable. A weakly coupled thermo-mechanical method is used to compute the deformation of the workpiece and the tool wear is also predicted. In this paper we study the influence of inertia forces in high velocity hot forging for some industrial-type problems
