Around the world, medical schools teach Medical Humanities in different courses, with different idealistic goals, albeit not accurately defined. Objectives: At Ghent University (Belgium), Medical Humanities is part of the horizontally integrated “exploration-continuum”, in which ethics, alternative medicine, etc. are included.
