Dark matter is the strongest evidence for physics beyond the StandardModel. A weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP) is the leading candidatefor the dark matter. On-going and future experiments stunningly push the capabilities of theWIMP discovery. In light these experiments, theorists are also investigating new ideason the dark matter discovery and identification. I will talk about the recent progress in searching for the WIMP darkmatter
