La demanda turística urbana: modelos estructurales de comportamiento de los turistas de Barcelona

During recent decades the development of urban tourism has proven extraordinarily successful, to the point where it is the form of tourism that has seen the greatest growth worldwide. The city of Barcelona has become one of the foremost destinations in Europe, thanks to the ever-increasing influx of tourists and visitors, the arrival of cruise ships, visits to cultural infrastructures, attendance at sports and business events, to name but a few of the contributing factors. The purpose of this thesis is to analyse the behaviour of tourists in Barcelona through the prism of the two most important variables in determining tourist demand: tourist expenditure, and the length of the stay. La presente tesis analiza el comportamiento de los turistas de Barcelona a través de dos de las variables más importantes de la demanda turística, el gasto del turista y la duración de su estancia.
