In this work, Sharin utilized polyaniline as photocatalytic sensitizer to Ti02. We proved clearly that PANI could enable Ti02 to function under visible light. We had also proven that a bilayer system involving PANi as the sublayer and Ti02 as the top layer could produce synergistic effect. The thesis by Noor Fathanah Aminuddin had successfully proven that Fe-Si03 doped PANI as the sublayer enable the bilayer system to function 6 times better than Ti02 itself. Karam had proven in her thesis that immobilized PANI function well as an adsorbent and can be regenerated and used many times efficiently via photocatalytic process.
