The thesis deals with the analysis of seismic resistance of a new, single family masonry house in the Dolenjska region. We analysed only the lower storey of the building, considering all necessary standard requirements of the Eurocode 6 and Eurocode 8. The seismic analysis was done by the method of horizontal forces. The strength capacities of individual masonry wall elements were determined on the\ud basis of flexural mechanism of the collaps, the sliding shear mechanism and the shear mechanism characterized with the formation of diagonal cracks, what is not determined in the above mentioned standards.
