The purpose of this paper is to propose a practical model, named 7-circle model that attempts to provide a simple practical framework for managing organizational knowledge. A review of KM models and theories was carried out. The shortcoming of an existing holistic KM model in linking theory to practice had sparked the initiative of this model. This paper concludes by presenting a simple and coherent model for KM practical application at organizational unit level. The model identifies seven interdependent and mutually reinforcing components in which things must consistently go right in any organization that seeks to manage its knowledge for organizational success and competitive advantage.
