Epoxidated oils are very interesting for its application as bio-lubricants, plasticizers or intermediates. In this thesis, a study on the epoxidation of soybean oil by conventional and non-conventional methods is presented. The study is carried out in a calorimetric reactor. The effect of each process variable is analyzed and an optimization of them is carried out. Moreover a safety study is performed and the heat of reaction is estimate
