Engaging pre-service and early career educators in leadership and advocacy

In the contemporary early childhood landscape there is a focus on quality outcomes, particularly on how to achieve and sustain quality outcomes for children and families. In 2015, Jane Bourne (President of Early Childhood Australia and CEO of Lady Gowrie, QLD) shared her vision to create a sustainable community of early career educators with the aim that such a community would support the provision of quality outcomes for children, families, and for early career educators. As a result of this vision a dynamic and innovative online community has been created to provide a platform of advocacy for early career educators. The group is now a functioning sub-committee of Early Childhood Australia QLD
