Imagination has the power to significantly impact on learner agency. This chapter explores how Year 4 students in an Australian primary school setting were invited to creatively design their Year 5 classroom learning space that was being renovated. The process of making space to learn came to mean both the creative design processes involved in making a physical learning space, making curriculum space, the political space of being decisions makers, as well as the social processes of negotiating new pedagogic relational spaces for learning. Through the invitation to imagine a different future, students became meaning makers in a creative and dynamic design process
