We study the lepton forward-backward asymmetry A[subscript FB] and the longitudinal K[superscript *] polarization F[subscript L], as well as an observable P[subscript 2] derived from them, in the rare decays B → K[superscript *]ℓ[superscript +]ℓ[superscript -], where ℓ[superscript +]ℓ[superscript -] is either e[superscript +]e[superscript -] or μ[superscript +]μ[superscript -], using the full sample of 471 million B[bar over B] events collected at the ϒ(4S) resonance with the BABAR, detector at the PEP-II e[superscript +]e[superscript -] collider.
