The study investigated lexicogrammatical errors made by Akbid Muhammadyah students, the causal factors of their occurrence, and implications for English language education. The objectives of this research are to describe (1) the lexicogrammatical errors at the sentence, phrase, word, and morpheme ranks in written language, and (2) the causal factors of the errors. This research was descriptive qualitative. It described the lexicogrammatical errors that occurred in student’s writing, and the factors why the students made the lexicogrammatical errors, and at the end what the implications for English language education there.
