A slightly fictionalized account, written originally 1939 in Dovercourt, England, about Erna Niedermeier’s (later Nydon) internment in a prison in Vienna.Erna and Max Niedermeier were originally from Berlin, but moved to Vienna, Austria for professional reasons. After the “Anschluss” he was sent to the Buchenwald concentration camp for two months, while she lingered in Vienna’s Hahngasse prison for four months.
