He taught at the Kiryat Sefer agricultural school in Jaffa from 1907-1909. From 1909 he worked at the Jewish community library in Vienna. After its closure by the Nazis he emigrated to England in 1938. Among his works are "Der Sohar und seine Lehre" (1920) and "History of Jewish Mysticism".
