Linda Ellis Family Collection undated, 1865-2005

The collection contains documents of the Linda Ellis family, including notes on family history; a notebook belonging to Edward G. Marshall, with handwritten notes on banking; family correspondence; school and citizenship certificates for Edward G. Marshall; biographical notes on Henriette Hertz; and memories of Hertz by her niece Alide Gollancz.digitizedEdward G. Marshall was born Gabriel Marschütz on September 7, 1851, in Wannbach. His father was Raphael Marschütz. Edward immigrated to the United States, where he changed his last name to Edward G. Marshall and became a United States in 1877. He married Bertha Waldauer, daughter of Abe Waldauer and Henrietta Rothschild, born on February 1, 1857, in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. The couple lived in Greenville, Mississippi, and had five daughters. Edward Marshall died on Feburary 25, 1910, in New York. He is buried in Greenville, Mississippi
