This collection contains an 1834 "Naturalization Patent", granted in Posen, which typically granted citizenship rights to prominent Jews. Collection then contains materials from the World War II period: postcard from Marie in occupied Poland to her sister K.W. Meissner in the USA; two papers with orders and details regarding 1941 transport from Berlin to Lisbon, Portugal. Among the orders given to Hellingers (Mrs. Hellinger was 84 years old in 1941) was that they not leave their train travel compartment for the entire duration of the trip to Lisbon. The Hellingers emigrated to the USA.The original German language inventory is available in the folder.Processed for digitizatio
