This collection contains documents, photographs, and manuscripts by and about Anne Lisa (Anneliese) Rotenberg née Erlanger (1925, Ichenhausen, Germany - 2013, New York) and her family.Photographs and photocopies are also held at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City.Anneliese Erlanger was born July 31, 1925 in Ichenhausen, Germany, daughter of Siegfried Erlanger and his wife Emma, née Regensburger (* 6/10/1888 in Ichenhausen). The parents got married in 1911. Her father died in 1936 in Ichenhausen; her mother and Annliese’s younger sister Inge perished in the Holocaust.Anneliese left with the last Kindertransport on Aug. 24, 1939 for England, where she lived with an uncle.
