The East Hall of William M. Rice Institute, a complex of buildings which served as a dormitory, later renamed Baker College, showing the sidewalk leading up to a stand of bushes and small trees, with beyond, the multi-leveled structures of the building itself. A covered walkway leads from the central four-storied section, and the inner courtyard can be made out between the arches. "Schleuter Houston" is written on the bottom left-hand corner. Original resource is a black and white photograph.Baker College (East Hall) was built in 1911
