Original resource is a black and white photograph.Dr. Harold Rorschach joined the Rice faculty in 1952 after completing his studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and served as chairman of the Physics Department from 1966-73 and 1991-1993. From 1967-1979, he was the principal investigator in the NASA interdisciplinary laboratory at Rice, which conducted research involving a wide range of studies on solid materials. He was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1961, won Rice's George R. Brown teaching awards six times, and was a Fellow of the American Physical Society
