This study aims at contributing to the notoriously under-researched field of aptitude and multilingualism by comparing the aptitude scores of L2 (n = 78), L3 (n= 135), and bilingual (n = 32) learners of German and their relationship with previous language learning experience, individual difference variables and enhanced proficiency in the target language. The aptitude test used in this study was the Pimsleur Language Aptitude Battery (PLAB) by Paul Pimsleur (1966).
