During this first year the ADE Newsletter has been, like all efforts, a bit untidy. We have probably paid too little attention to some important aspect of documentary editing. It seems to me that our rapid growth as an organization proved that the regular journals are not meeting our demands, but it may be too ambitious to aspire to publication of a regular journal. Perhaps subsidies for books dealing with the editorial process would be a better way to spend our funds
