Parking is a problem that is often encountered in the urban transport system, both in big cities and developing cities. Else, it is also caused by increasing levels of vehicle ownership annually. Education Hospital of Hasanuddin University is one of the hospitals in Makassar, which has a parking space located in the complex of hospital itself. Given the Education Hospital of Hasanuddin University adjacent to the BNI and other hospitals, will possibly visitors in addition to the visitors of Education Hospital of Hasanuddin University who park their vehicles in the parking area of Education Hospital of Hasanuddin University. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of parking which includes parking accumulation, parking volume, parking index, turnover and usage levels of parking at Education Hospital of Hasanuddin University as well as to analyze the parking needs of Education Hospital of Hasanuddin University. The method used was to analyze the use of parking space with attention to the characteristics of parking, such as parking volume, accumulation, duration, usage level and index. Based on the result of study that has been conducted at Education Hospital of Hasanuddin University, it can be concluded: maximum volume of four-wheel park on Monday at 7:00 to 08:00 is 100, while for two-wheel on Monday at 7:00 to 08:00 is 160. The accumulation of four-wheel vehicle parking maximum (peak hours of four-wheel vehicles) occurred at 11:00 to 12:00 is 184. While, the accumulation of two-wheel vehicle parking maximum (peak hours of four-wheel vehicles) occurred at 11:00 to 12:00 is 260. The parking capacity of four-wheel vehicle is 142, and 263 for two-wheel. Index parking for four-wheeled vehicles is 76.67%, and for two-wheel is 82.53%. Turnover level for four-wheel vehicles is 0.075, while for two-wheel is 0.114
