Konsentrasi logam timbal (Pb) pada perakaran mangrove Rhizophora sp. dan sedimen dengan tingkat densitas mangrove berbeda di Ampallas, Mamuju, Sulawesi Barat

This research was aimed at analyzing Pb metal concentration in mangrove roots and surrounding sediments and also examining interrelation of Pb metal in roots and sediments with densities and sediments??? geochemistry factor. Average Pb concentrations in sediments with low, moderate and high mangrove densities and control location (without mangrove) are: 20.14??8.35 mg/kg, 68??6.16 mg/kg, 60.1??4.06 mg/kg, and 68.73??7.87 mg/kg respectively. While average Pb concentrations in mangrove Rhizophora sp. roots with low, moderate and high densities are: 17.31??6.31 mg/kg, 9.06??2.69 mg/kg, and 17.84??4.84 mg/kg respectively. Principle component analysis (PCA) showed that high concentrations of Pb metal in sediment is connected to high pH and low Eh values in sediment, whilst high Pb metal concentrations in mangrove roots is correlated with high Eh and low pH values in sediments
