STRUGGLE OF MALAY LANGUAGE TO HAVE DIGNITY IN INDONESIA AND MALAYSIA

It reinforced in the momentum of youth pledge on 28 October 1928 regarding the appointment about Malay language as national language by the name of Indonesian. Then, the position of Indonesian as national language has been owned by Indonesian based on the 1945 constitution, chapter XV, article 36. In Malaysia, Malay language which was also originally only used by Malay tribes, now set by institutionalization of alliance as national language contained in article 152, paragraph 1. Also, in article 152 paragraph 6 asserted that Malay language not just language of Malay people or native, but the language of our country. Malaysian constitution article of 152 conform to the rules of official language set by UNESCO.
