Empowerment of Goat Farmers Through Mutual Trust in Majene Regency, West Sulawesi Province, Indonesia

This study aims to review mutual trust among farmers with farmers, group management, field extension and livestock service to empowerment of farmers in goat breeding business development. This research was conducted in Majene regency, West Sulawesi. This research sample was goat farmers selected by purposive sampling and set 65 farmers as respondents. The data from this study were obtained through direct interviews using questionnaires. The data collected were tabulated and analyzed by partial and continuum. The result showed that mutual trust between farmers with farmers was high category. This can occur due to the farmers still one family, a sense of family, and a sense of neighborliness is still intertwined. The mutual trust between farmers with group management, field extension and livestock service was middle category. The level of mutual trust between farmers with group management has begun to fade due to the level of honesty, fairness, and responsibility of group management declined. Similarly between farmers with field extension and livestock service, it is characterized by the results of the assessment, included medium category
