Tipologi Bahasa Belanda

This article discusses in how far the Dutch can be classified through the typology of universals language, as argued by Greenberg. The classification would be done through analysing basic sentences, subordinate clauses, and phrases, in these cases the attention fell to the word order which arranged the sentence or phrase. The result of the analysing shows that based on syntax analysis the Dutch can be grouped in the language typology as VSO, SVO, OVS, and SOV. Meanwhile based on word order analysing to construct the adjectival phrase, was seen the order AN, and the genetive has the order GN as well as NG, and for adposision the Dutch has either preposition or postposition, even for a small case also was found the combination of preposition and postposition.
