Kemampuan Cendawan Endofit dari KIon Kakao Tahan Penyakit Vascular Streak Dieback dalam Menekan Patogen Fusarium sp.

Vascular Streak Dieback (VSD) is caused by Ceratobasidium theobromae and Ceratobasidium ramicola fungus, causes losses in seedling and young trees, kill branches in mature trees. It is a vascular pathogen difficult to growth on sintetic mediurn, because infects the vascular tissue, so that its control is difficult, the use of endophytic microorganism might be able to control this disease. Endophytic fungi is one of antagonist agent to control phytopathogen both bacterial or fungal. The research aimed to screening endophytic fungi from VSD resistant clone which effective on the pathogen of Fusarium sp. by in vitro way. Endophyte fungi were isolated from twigs ofM.05 clone as resistant clone, and placed on PDA mediurn. The antagonism test by in vitro way was carried out with dual culturemethod on PDAmedium. The result indicated all eldophytic fungi was able to inhibit the colony growth of Fusarium sp. withAspergillus sp. and KR I isolate as the best treaments 2 and 4 days after inoculation,while 6 days after inoculation the best treatments are Aspergillus sp.,Geotrichum sp., KR I and KR 2 isolate.
