ABSTRACT\ud The research of the application of Oryziasjavanicus fish as bio-indicators of heavy metal pollution of lead (Pb) in the waters, was conducted in March-April 2015. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the medaka fish O.javanicus could be a biological indicator in pollutant waters, and to introduce O.javanicus for bioassay and bio-indicator. Sampling was done randomly by using gill nets at the mouth of the Jeneberang River in Makassar, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia.
