The development of industry and mining sectors give negative impact on the environment with the presence of soil contamination due to Cd and Pb . One of the solution to overcome the contamination is phytoremediation using plant Akar Wangi (Vetiveria zizanioides). This study aims to determine the ability of Akar Wangi to absorb Cd and Pb metal in soil. \ud The experimental method was the variation of the number of Akar Wangi (no stem , 3 stems , 6 stems , 9 stems), and the variation of detention time ( 7 days , 14 days , 21 days ) . The parameter of this study was the decrease of the Cd and Pb levels in soil and in plants.
