Nine wastewater monitors have been installed in the Brussels sewer system. An example of the data transmitted during a storm event is illustrate. The suspended solids variations reveal the occurrence of a 'first flush' effect, along with the decrease in conductivity due to the dilution of the wastewater by less saline run-off water. An evaluation of the feasibility of long-term in-sewer monitoring is given.SCOPUS: cp.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
