The authors studied the effects of a short training period on aged sedentary women (S group) and a level of psychomotor functions. The comparison with a group (A) of same age and same sociocultural sphere but active and trained showed the superiority of this group upon reaction time, attention, kinesthesis and balance. After a two months physical training program, the results of the sedentary group were about the same level as those of the active group. The active group did not show any progress. The increase is determined by the functional possibilities of subjects and we reached very soon the limits of the performance.
