These updated clinical practice guidelines on the treatment of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) limited disease formulated by the ELCWP aim to answer the following questions: 1) What is the definition of limited disease? 2) Is thoracic irradiation needed and what are the benefits? 3) What is the optimal time and method of chest irradiation? 4) What are the optimal parameters of irradiation :dose, fractionation, target volume? 5) When radiochemotherapy is not possible at the outset, how should consider radiotherapy after induction chemotherapy ?6) What is the optimal chemotherapy for limited stage SCLC? 7) Should preventive brain irradiation be given and if so, when and to which patients? 8) What is the complementary role of thoracic surgery in early SCLC?Les présentes recommandations de pratique clinique mises à jour sur le traitement des cancers bronchique à petites cellules (CBPC) au stade limité formulées par l’ELCWP visent à répondre aux questions suivantes :1) Quelle est la définition d’une maladie limitée ?2) L’irradiation thoracique est-elle nécessaire et quels en sont les bénéfices ?3) Quels sont le moment et le mode optimaux de l’irradiation thoracique ?4) Quels sont les paramètres optimaux de l’irradiation :dose, fractionnement, volume cible ?5) Quand la radiochimiothérapie n’est pas possible au départ, comment faut-il envisager la radiothérapie après une chimiothérapie d’induction ?6) Quelle est la chimiothérapie optimale pour les CBPC au stade limité ?7) L’irradiation cérébrale préventive doitelle être donnée et si oui, quand et à quels patients ?8) Quel est le rôle complémentaire de la chirurgie thoracique dans le CBPC précoce ?http://www.amub.be/revue-medicale-bruxelles/download/1002
