This volume comprises of two parts. The first part is a review of the literature that has contributed to the understanding of the role that siblings play in the development of emotion regulation. The second part is an empirical study that investigates the experience of growing up with a sibling who has a learning disability. The literature review put forward the argument that siblings play a significant role in the development of emotion regulation. This paper has been prepared for submission to the journal Family Processes.
