Legierungen des RE-Cd Systems sind von besonderem Interesse im Bereich der pyrotechnischen Aufarbeitung von verbrauchten Brennstäben aus Atomkraftwerken. Zum besseren Verständnis und künftigem Design von Aufarbeitungsmethoden sind die vergleichenden thermodynamischen Eigenschaften der RE-Cd Legierungen signifikant. Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit ist es, die existierenden Literaturdaten für die Systeme Cerium-Cadmium und Neodymium-Cadmium zu evaluieren und fehlende Daten experimentell zu bestimmen.
