Der Kosovo - Staat, Symbole und Identität

Kosovo is developing and advancing his identity which was a necessary step on the politic level. Kosovo declared its independence on 17th February 2008. This political project was supported by the USA and the European Union, two actors who face both political stabilisation on the Balkans and integration in the EU. The political projects which aim to lead Kosovo in the EU are supported by the society, although one can notice the growth of a new Dilemma concerning the creation of a new sense of national identity within the Albanian national identity. Due to the fact that that political agreements to not allow that Kosovo builds a union neither with Albania nor with the Albanian ethnicity in Macedonia, this will be the compromise for the majority of the Albanien ethnicity which does not live in an own singel country but it is spread over the national borders in several countries. A current topic in the society, the media and in intellectual discussions is about abondoing the national symbols and creating state symbols with the focus on the question whether a sense of national identity should be created diverging from the Albanian national identity or conserving the national Albanian identity. Currently Kosovo has its own institutions, his constitution as well as its state symbols and its national anthem which are not culturally or historically connected to the majority of the Albanian ethnicity or the minorities. Nowadays globalisation has a considerable impact on societies and nationalism playing more and more a peropheral role. The futer will show whether the society of Kosovo is mature enough to transform this theory in reality of all day life.Im Kosovo kam es zu einer Weiterentwicklung der kosovarischen Identität, die auf politischer Ebene notwendig war. Der Kosovo hat sich am 17. Februar 2008 als ein selbstständiger Staat erklärt. Diese politischen Projekte, die den Kosovo an die Europäische Union heranführen sollen, werden von der Gesellschaft unterstützt, obwohl es ein neues Dilemma bezüglich der Schaffung des Wir-Gefühls innerhalb der albanischen nationalen Identität gibt. Das wird der größte Kompromis für die Mehrheit der albanischen Ethnizität im Kosovo, weil nach den politischen Vereinbarungen der Kosovo nicht in eine Union mit Albanien tretten darf und sich auch nicht mit der albanischen Ethnizität in Mazedonien zu einer Union verbinden darf. Die Bildung einer kosovarischen Identität verursachte Schwierigkeiten in Konsolidierung der Albaner auf dem Balkan, da die Albaner in verschiedenen Ländern leben und die ethnischen Grenzen nicht mit den politischen Grenzen übereinstimmen. Die Trennung von den nationalen Symbolen und Bildung der staatlichen Symbole sind ein aktuelles Thema in der Gesellschaft, in den Medien und in den intellektuellen Kreisen. Die Schwerpunkte in dieser Diskussion liegen bei der Schaffung eines Wir-Gefühls, bzw. einer eigenen Identität, die sich selbstständig von der albanischen nationalen Identität weiterentwickelt, oder eine Bewahrung der nationalen Albanischen Identität darstellt. Der Kosovo hat jetzt eigene Institutionen, eine Verfassung, sowie staatliche Symbole und eine Hymne, die jedoch keine kulturelle oder historische Verbindung mit der Mehrheit der albanischen Ethnizität herstellen, genauso wenig mit den Minderheiten. In der heutigen Zeit sind die Gesellschaften von der Globalisierung betroffen, wo der Nationalismus immer peripherer geworden ist. Die Zukunft wird zeigen, ob die kosovarische Gesellschaft kulturell reif genug ist, diese Theorie ins Alltagsleben durchzusetzen
